Book Tag!

No better way to do a reopening than a Book Tag! ^_^ Thanks Mel.

Book Tag!

Well, the awesome Mel over at Mel’sBook Blog as tagged me! I’m game. Let’s get started. This looks like much fun ^_^ Here are the rules!

THE RULES:

1) You must post the rules.
2) Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you’ve tagged.
3) Tag eleven people and link to them on your post.
4) Let them know you’ve tagged them!

And here are the questions Mel asked:

1-If you could travel to any time period in history, which would you choose and why?

I think I would enjoy traveling to before the West was conquered. I’m of native American descent so I think it would be a life altering experience to see how my ancestors lived before our land was taken.

2-What is your favorite book?

I don’t only have one favorite.  It really depends on my mood and what I feel like reading at the time. I suppose if I had to pick an all time favorite I would pick Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins for contemporary and The Iron King by Julie Kagawa for paranormal. I have favorites for steampunk and dystopia too but these are the top.

3-When a book is made into a movie, do you prefer to read the book before or after you've seen it?

I always read the book before watching the movie. Or I at least try to. The last time I tried I couldn’t finish the book it was terrible.

4-Who is your favorite actor?
My favorite actor is . . . hm . . . I have this weakness for Scottish actors, and my current heart throb is Gerard Butler.

5-Who would you say has been the biggest influence in your life thus far?

I think my biggest influence is all my twitter/blogger friends. There are a bunch of authors and bloggers and publishers that give great advise and a lot of them are really nice and down home people. It’s great talking to them.

6-If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I don’t think I would change anything about myself.  While I’m not perfect and I have several flaws I’m unhappy with if I changed that then I would no longer be the person that I am. And overall I like the person that I am.

7-What is your favorite color?

I like purples a lot and reds.

8-Do you prefer to shop in the store or online?

Depends on what I’m shopping for and the time of year. I do not step foot in a store between thanksgiving and new years.

9-What's your favorite flavor jelly or jam?

Apple. Hands down.

10-Do you have a favorite superhero? Who is it?

I think it would have to be Batman or Ironman. The reason is because they’re real people. They don’t have superpowers yet they still save people time and time again.

11-What is the best book you've read so far this year?

Best book I’ve read so far this year would be . . . well it’s a tie between Dreaming Awake by Gwen Hayes and Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi.

6.) What is your favorite series?
7.) Has a book ever influenced something you did or how you think?
8.) What kind of music do you listen to while reading?
9.) What’s the best thing an author has ever said to you?
10.) What book do you feel should definitely be a movie?
11.) What is an awesome must be read YA book that you would recommend to all?

  2. Yay for Anna and the French Kiss! That quickly became one of my favorite reads ever. :) That's cool that you always read the book first. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Usually I like whichever I did first best. I'll have to look into those books.

    1. You too huh! Ettiene is just a down right heart throb! I love how they interact.

That's the very reason I read the book first. I mean because when you think about it the book is what was released first so it's only fair it gets dibs. ^_^
